Our Fete this year was opened by Herbert Kastelan - he and Winnie were married in All Saints in 1953 - and presentations were made to them by Lauren and Ryan.

Thankfully the weather kept dry and so, thanks to Mary and Joe Mandl's kindness, we again had the lovely setting of their lawn on which to hold it.

As usual we had visitors, (and helpers) from far and wide and with a vast stock a brisk business was done at all the stalls, as well as with games competitions and teas. Georgie and Megan did a good trade as posy sellers.

The resulting just over 1,000 is a marvellous help to Church funds and thank you to everyone involved in any way. We hope to have a sale in Liskeard again in the Autumn.

Many will be feeling sad at the death of Mrs Vesta Arthur but will feel grateful for her long and happy life and all that she and her family have contributed to the life of All Saints over the years, continued of course by Norman and the family. They decided that the money given in appreciation of Vesta's life should be for the Friends of All Saints Repair and Restoration Fund, and a wonderful 445.50 has been received by that fund in her memory.

Simultaneously there will be a sponsored 'knit-in' in All Saints - of squares towards a cushion cover, which will also answer the need to 'man' the church that day for sponsored visitors, or perhaps you have your own sponsorship activity? The money raised is shared between the participating churches/chapels and the CHCT ( who have already helped All Saints with a grant towards the repairs ) Details from Gill 01503 240 536 - sponsorship forms from Bill and Sally - 01579 320797.
