Summer Fete Saturday 10th August
After the initial trials and tribulations All Saints 2002 Fete was a great success, thanks partly to an incredible "window" in the weather. Putting faith in the local forecast and ignoring the morning rain proved to be worthwhile and, after the opening by Martin Michell, our organist and wonderful friend of ALL saints, everyone appreciated the lovely sunny afternoon - buying from the stalls, playing games and enjoying the homemade teas in Joe and Mary Mandl's lovely garden. "What a lovely place to hold a Fete" said one visitor from St Austel, which was probably expressing everyones feelings. A fine day and good attendance at the Fete - result - a good time had by all and £997 raised for church funds.

Village Lamb Roast 3rd August
Thanks to Herbert and Winnie Kastelan there was a A Lamb Roast on the Green in aid of the church repair fund. We were again blessed by perfect weather. Perhaps it was the delicious smell of the lamb roasting by Herbie, Owen and another good friend was what attracted so many residents and visitors of all ages. Sausages, burgers, jacket potatoes, jam and cream scones, iced gingerbread served to satisfy everyones hunger and a fine selection of drinks helped to wash it all down. A very successful Raffle helped lift the total sum raised to almost £380. Click here for pictures.
